CRETE

Crete-area resident Matthew T. Oeler, 28, of the 23700 block of South Ashland Avenue was sentenced to two days in jail and a 12-month suspended sentence after pleading guilty March 20 to possession of drug paraphernalia. The charge stemmed from a June 2012 arrest by New Lenox Police.

Tools were stolen from a van parked on the 0-100 block of Meadowlark Lane in Pheasant Lake Estates on March 21.

A 2001 Ford F350 pickup truck and a horse trailer were stolen from a residential driveway on the 26000 block of South Harvest Lane on March 19.

Chicago resident Cordell T. Young, 28, of the 10100 block of South Bentley Avenue was arrested by Will County Sheriff’s Police for DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision during a March 22 crash investigation on Illinois Route 394 near the intersection of Illinois Route 1.

Lake Village, Ind. resident Aurea O. Linan, 24, of the 6700 block of 800 North Road is scheduled to appear in Will County Circuit court for a preliminary hearing on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. The charge stems from a March 21 arrest by Crete Police.

MONEE

Monee-area resident Joseph M. Connolly, 33, of the 26600 block of South Egyptian Trail is charged with DUI, driving 15-20 mph above the speed limit and improper lane use in connection with a March 20 traffic stop by Will County Sheriff’s Police at the intersection of Manhattan-Monee and Cedar roads.

Monee resident Darrell R. McCarty Jr., 31, of the 6000 block of West Pauling Road was arrested for DUI and parking in the roadway during a March 23 traffic investigation by Will County Sheriff’s Police at the intersection of Crete-Monee Road and Highland Avenue. McCarty is scheduled to be arraigned May 1 in Will County Circuit court.

A 25-year-old Cedar Lake, Ind. man is scheduled to appear in Will County Circuit court April 22 for a pretrial hearing on a charge of violation of an order of protection. Monee Police arrested the man Tuesday in connection with the alleged incident on the 25500 block of Pinewood Drive.

PARK FOREST

Park Forest resident Benjamin J. Butowski, 23, of the 100 block of Nanti Street is scheduled to appear in Will County Circuit court April 6 for a preliminary hearing on a charge of residential burglary. Park Forest Police arrested Butowski March 25 in connection with the charge, stemming from an alleged Aug. 30 incident in the Will County portion of that village.

A 41-year-old Park Forest man from the 23400 block of Western Avenue is scheduled to appear in Will County Circuit court April 24 for a pretrial hearing on a charge of domestic battery. Park Forest Police arrested the man Wednesday in connection with the alleged March 23 offense on the 23400 block of Western.

Oak Forest resident Marc J. Greska, 34, of the 5000 block of West 159th Street was arrested Thursday on a two-count charge of aggravated battery in a public place in connection with one or more unspecified alleged incidents in Park Forest.

PEOTONE

A 29-year-old Peotone man was charged with possession of less than 30 grams of cannabis and held on active warrants from Kankakee, Livingston and Jo Daviess counties during a March 21 traffic stop on Governors Highway at Industrial.

Sheriff’s Police say a reported break-in of a metal shed on March 22 was an attempt to steal an all-terrain vehicle.

STEGER

A 30-year-old Steger woman from the 3700 block of Union Avenue was ticketed by Will County Sheriff’s Police for driving on a suspended license and speeding during a March 23 traffic stop at 37th Street and Union Avenue.

Chicago Heights resident Timothy A. Wehmeyer, 22, of the 2900 block of Chicago Road is scheduled to appear in Will County Circuit court April 17 for a preliminary hearing on charges of possession of a controlled substance, driving on a suspended license and disregarding a stop sign. Steger Police arrested Wehmeyer during a traffic stop Thursday.

UNIVERSITY PARK

Beecher resident David J. Stuart, 33, of the 200 block of East Corning Road, is charged with aggravated DUI/3rd and failure to give notice of a collision in connection with his arrest Wednesday by University Park Police. He was previously arrested for DUI in 2005 and 2011.

A 20-year-old Chicago Heights man from the 1500 block of Portland Avenue was charged with criminal trespass to a motor vehicle during a March 21 traffic stop by Will County Sheriff’s Police for improper lane use at Exchange Street and Western Avenue. He is scheduled to appear in Will County Circuit court April 22 for a pretrial hearing.

A 29-year-old University Park man from the 700 block of Burr Oak Lane is scheduled to appear in Will County Circuit court April 25 for a pretrial hearing on a charge of domestic battery. University Park Police arrested him Thursday on the charge allegedly stemming from an incident on the 700 block of Burr Oak.

A 25-year-old Park Forest man was arrested Thursday on a charge of possession of less than 30 grams of cannabis and two counts of domestic battery. University Park Police took the man into custody in connection with an alleged incident on the 600 block of Clover Lane. Court hearing information was unavailable.
