Dyer woman killed in Burville-394 car-truck crash

Illinois State Police report a 29-year-old Dyer woman was fatally injured when her car collided around 5:40 a.m today with a tanker truck at the intersection of Illinois Route 394 and Burville Road.

Sarah Sanaghan was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased, according to a report by Illinois State Police released this afternoon.

State Police say Sanaghan was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze westbound on Burville when she pulled in front of the southbound Peterbilt tractor with a tanker trailer.

The truck struck a light pole on the southwest side of the roadway and then rolled onto its side, coming to rest in a ditch. No hazardous material was released.

The truck driver, 41-year-old Kurt Tuzinkewich of Sheboygan, Wisc., wasn’t seriously injured, police said.

Burville Road and Illinois 394 are now open.

    The girl that passed was the twin sister of the little girl that passes then. So sad for the family.
